Information for Congress Participants: Weather, Dress Code & Accommodation

We are looking forward to welcoming you to the upcoming congress! To help you pack and prepare for a comfortable stay, please review the practical details below regarding expected weather conditions, recommended attire, venue location and accommodation amenities.

Weather & Dress Code

Holding our congress at the end of summer means we can look forward to pleasant, mostly dry weather with daily temperatures averaging between 15°C and 25°C. Since our daytime itinerary includes visits to local farms and outdoor sites, we recommend comfortable, casual clothing paired with sturdy, practical walking shoes. Bringing a light jacket or cardigan for cooler mornings and late evenings is also advised.

For our formal program, we invite you to dress up for two special evening occasions:

  • September 16 (Evening): Opening Ceremony – Smart Casual / Formal Attire
  • September 19 (Evening): Final Gala Dinner – Formal / Elegant Attire

Accommodation Details

Please keep in mind that your stay during the main congress program will be in a student dormitory. These functional rooms offer standard student housing amenities rather than full hotel services.

Each room includes bed linens, towels, basic soaps/shampoo and essential clothing hangers. Should you need an iron, hair dryer, or extra hangers, these are readily available upon request at the front desk. For morning coffee or a quick drink, a friendly café is located directly across the street from the dormitory.

If you are joining us for the pre- or post-congress tours, your hotel accommodations will include full amenities, including in-room tea and coffee facilities, a mini-fridge, an iron and a hair dryer.

Location & Arrival by Car

For participants arriving by car, the student dormitory address is:

  • Address: Studentski dom Lavoslav Ružička, Ul. kralja Petra Svačića 1c, 31000 Osijek, Croatia
  • Navigation: You can find the exact location and directions on Google Maps.

Should you have any immediate questions before your arrival, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the organizing team. We wish you a smooth journey and look forward to meeting you soon!
