Participants of the 2026 World Congress of Agricultural Journalists in Croatia will visit numerous locations in search of agricultural stories, with a strong focus on rural life and local food producers.
Journalists from around 60 countries will attend presentations and lectures that will contribute to their professional development, while the best media features and authors will be awarded.
After spending five days in Slavonia and Baranja, the delegates will visit several other destinations across Croatia.
The pre-congress tour will take place in Varaždin County, where participants will explore farms, cultural landmarks, and natural attractions, and taste products with the EU-protected designation of origin.
The post-congress tours will be organized in Istria and Zadar counties, where agricultural journalists from around the world will discover the diversity of Mediterranean agriculture – an area in which Croatia has much to offer.
The IFAJ World Congress is organized by the Croatian Association of Agricultural Journalists, with support from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, and the counties of Osijek-Baranja, Istria, Varaždin, and Zadar.
